 Catholic fired

As you can read in Wheaton College prof fired for converting, Wheaton College fired a prof who turned Catholic. In this way it gives a lesson to the world of indifferentism that says it doesn't matter what you believe, as long as you . . . whatever. Wrong. It matters. I'm Catholic but applaud Wheaton. The man fired is not blaming Wheaton either.

As one who is a recent convert ( almost three years ago ) I was some what taken aback when I learned the teachers at our local catholic elementery school didn't have to be catholic. When I thought about it deeper though I realized I didn't mind so much. The children are still being taught the catholic faith and doctorine. Just because a teacher isn't catholic or protestant for that matter doesn't mean they aren't great teachers. As long as they respect the faith of the school they teach in and don't try to belittle the religion the school is founded on I don't see the problem. Just my POV. Pie
